Editing an Entity

You’ll need to be an entity administrator in order to be able to edit your entity’s details or settings. To gain permissions, talk to your current entity administrators, who can assign you access.

SELECT YOUR ENTITY

While logged into Hut12 as an existing user, open the entity management hub. You can do this by clicking on the Context Switcher menu up the top-left of the screen and selecting “My Account” from the list of options:

After that’s done, select the “Entities” tab in the navigation. Find the entity you want to edit in the list and click on it to bring it up.

EDITING ENTITY DETAILS

With the entity now open on your screen, click the pencil to edit the details of the entity.

This will open up the details of your entity and allow them to be edited. These details will change depending on your business type.

Individuals:

  • Display Name – The name of the individual.
  • Country of Origin – The individual’s country of residence.

Organisations:

  • Trading Name – The common name for your business (e.g. Joe’s Construction).
  • Legal Name – The full name of your business (e.g. Joe’s Construction Pty. Ltd.).
  • Country of Origin – The business’ country of operations.
  • Entity Identifier – The business identifier related to your country (e.g. ABN).
  • Website Domain – The domain of your business to help others find your easier (e.g. @hut12.com.au).

Click “Save” once finished to commit the changes, or “Cancel” to discard them and return to the entity screen.

EDITING ENTITY Settings

With the entity now open on your screen, click the gear to edit the settings of the entity.

This will open up the settings of your entity and allow them to be changed.

  • RFI Identification – This allows you to customise all Requests For Information for this entity by setting a custom code. By selecting these boxes, your customised ID codes will be added to all future RFIs sent by this entity. You can specify your entity code here; project codes are specified in the project screen for each individual project.
  • Communication Footers – This allows you to set a default footer which will appear automatically on all Requests For Information sent by members of this entity. This footer can be edited by entity members whenever they send a message but provides a general template for them to use.
  • RFI Permissions – This allows you to govern permissions surrounding RFI communication. If ticked, then any questions or responses coming out of your entity will require approval from an Entity Approver before they can be sent.

Click “Save” once finished to commit the changes, or “Cancel” to discard them and return to the entity screen.

UPLOADING AN ENTITY LOGO

With the entity now open on your screen, click the picture field to upload a new logo for your entity.

This will open a pop-up where you can select an image to upload as your entity logo. Only image files such as JPEG or PNG will be accepted. This image will appear on all communication involving your entity.
