Creating a new Project

Using an RFI Invitation

If you’ve received an invitation to join Hut12 via a Request For Information email notification, then you should have already created an account and an entity. If not, you’ll need to do so before you can continue.

STEP ONE: Select your entity

You’ll need to select an entity for your project to reside inside. You can either select an existing entity that you are a part of or create a new entity. If you’ve created a new entity as part of sign-up, then you’ll be able to use that for this step.

STEP Two: create a new project

To create a new project, click the “+” icon on the RFI invitation screen.

STEP Three: Enter project details

Enter in the details for your project. These can be changed later on by a project administrator.

  • Project Full Name – the full formal name of your project
(e.g. Job No 1234 Torrens Bridge Construction Project).
  • Project Short Name – the short nickname of your project (e.g. Torrens Bridge Project).

Click “Create” once all the information is complete.

Your project should now have been created and you are ready to work on it in Hut12. You will automatically become a Project Administrator of this project.

Using the entity hub

Step One: Open Entity Hub

While logged into Hut12 as an existing user, open the project management hub. You can do this by clicking on the Context Switcher menu up the top-left of the screen and selecting the entity you want to make the project for from the list of options.

STEP Two: CLICK “new project”

Once logged in as the entity you want to use, click the “Projects” tab to view a list of your current projects. Click the “New Project” button on the left to begin creating a new project for this entity.
